Caterham Cars has taken the wraps off a brand new special edition Seven designed by Japanese racing driver Kamui Kobayashi, who drives for Caterham’s Formula 1 team. Based on the 125bhp Caterham Seven 250 R, the special edition features kit and colour options selected by Kobayashi himself. Just ten examples will go on sale in Kamui’s home country from today, priced at ¥6,000,000 (about £35,000).
Nissan’s e-NV200 will reach showrooms in July using the Leaf’s electric drivetrain. The e-NV200 is offered as a panel van (£16,562.20) or five-seat combi (£22,859). The price drops to £13,393/£17,855 if the battery pack is leased, costing from £61 per month.
Production at Saab’s Trollhattan plant has been halted for four weeks due to cash-flow problems. Chinese-backed National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) has been building 9-3s there since late last year, and intends to launch an electric version targeted at China.
Arnaud Leclerc has been appointed managing director of Citroën UK and Ireland and will start his new role at the start of next month. The 39-year-old joined PSA Peugeot Citroën in March 2001 and prior to his new role in the UK was managing director of Citroën in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. He replaces Linda Jackson, who has been promoted to chief executive of the Citroën brand.
