The first pictures of the Land Rover Discovery Sport have surfaced online, hours before the car's official unveiling at midnight.
These pictures, first published on Autoblog Italia and since circulated online, show the seven-seat Discovery Sport gets many of its styling cues from the Land Rover Discovery Vision concept car.
Last week, miniature versions of the Discovery Sport gave away the outside look of the car, which will look to take on the likes of the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Porsche Macan when it goes on sale early next year. Previous releases have also shown the Discovery Sport's interior, which is based around a 5+2 seating layout.
It's already known that Jaguar Land Rover's new range of Ingenium engines will power the Discovery Sport, although not from launch. In its most frugal state the Discovery Sport should come with CO2 emissions of around 119g/km in entry-level, front-wheel drive form.
The Discovery Sport - which replaces the current Freelander and is the first model to be seen from the newly-expanded Discovery family - will be seen in the metal for the first time at the Paris motor show in October.
