Bentley has revealed a new Apple Watch app for the Bentayga, which will allow you to control the vehicle’s in-car systems. Passengers being driven in the car will be able to remotely control the on-board climate, entertainment systems, and adjust heating, ventilation, and massaging functions of their seats. Additional functions include the ability to monitor outside temperature, vehicle speed, and the amount of distance traveled.
The app uses the Bentayga’s Bluetooth connectivity to sync with the user’s Apple Watch and the car’s Touch Screen Remote system. “The Bentayga is technologically advanced and combines this with luxury in a way only Bentley can achieve. This new Apple Watch connectivity is another example of how we are constantly innovating in order to enhance the customer experience,” said Dan Whittaker, Bentley’s director of electrical and electronics.
Bentley is the latest automaker to offer an app that will allow drivers to monitor their vehicles via their smartphone or a smart watch. Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Hyundai, Kia, Toyota, and BMW all offer apps for your highly connected mobile device that allows you to adjust the car’s climate controls, use the infotainment system, and in the case oh hybrids and EVs, monitor how much charge is left on the battery.
