Already bored with your 2015 Mustang GT’s 435 horsepower? Ford Racing just showed off exactly how crazy you can get with the newest pony, throwing its entire catalog of factory-supported go-fast parts at one unsuspecting coupe. The result is the King Cobra, a 600-plus horsepower supercharged ‘Stang that can rip through the quarter mile at a staggering 10.97 seconds on slicks.
The King Cobra wears every street-and-strip hop-up kit in the Ford Racing catalog. The Drag Pack gives the Mustang heavy-duty half shafts (for that independent rear suspension, don’t ya know) and a rear subframe brace, while the Handling Pack drops the car down by an inch on new springs, shocks, and a rear stabilizer bar.
Then there’s the big gun: The Super Pack. This bundle of venomous joy gives the King Cobra a 2.3-liter belt-driven supercharger developed in conjunction with Roush Performance (and seen on Roush’s SEMA showcar we wrote about yesterday), along with the requisite intake manifold, throttle body, air intake, air-to-liquid intercooler, fuel rail with high-flow injectors, and retuned ECU.
Thus packing every Pack in the Ford Racing catalog, a King Cobra prototype 2015 Mustang blasted down Michigan’s Milan Dragway toward a 10.97-second quarter mile on slicks.

The best part? You can build your very own King Cobra Mustang, provided you’ve got a 2015 pony, a Ford Racing order form, and an undisclosed lump of cash that you’re just dying to turn into a pile of horsepower.
