Kia says it will introduce a new concept car at the Chicago motor show next month.
The concept, dubbed e-AWD, looks to be a more rugged, off-road-oriented version of the Kia Soul EV.
Kia says the “advanced and capable electric all-wheel-drive” model has been built for “city dwellers seeking the ultimate urban escape”.
“This rugged runabout captures the essence of adventuring at higher elevations with the promise of sure-footedness in the wild.”
Although billed as a concept, it is likely that the e-AWD will make production, slotting in as a new model in the Soul EV range.
It’s also likely that the model will act as a prelude to Kia offering all-wheel-drive versions of the regular Soul.
