The all-new third-generation Kia Sorento will be revealed in Korea next month, and has today been previewed in a set of official design sketches.
The new Sorento will look to challenge the likes of the Nissan X-Trail and Mitsubishi Outlander when it goes on sale in Europe at the start of next year.
Kia says the model will feature "bold, swept-back exterior styling" and will incorporate its recent design hallmarks including the firm's 'tiger-nose' front grille.
Designed at Kia's design studios in Korea, Germany and the US, recent spy pictures have also shown the Sorento will take on a more muscular stance, as well as appearing visibly larger than the current car.
While the new Sorento's engine line-up has yet to be confirmed, the current car's 194bhp 2.2-litre CRDi is expected to be carried over. Reports also suggest that Kia could offer a hybrid version, which could make use of a 2.3-litre four-cylinder petrol engine alongside an electric motor.
Kia has also released a short video to accompany the sketches.
