Nothing makes us happier than knowing some of the top comedians are also car guys. In this video, Jay Leno tells Tim Allen to meet him in one of his factory-stock cars for some friendly drag racing.
While Leno shows up in a nearly original 1966 Dodge Coronet with the rare, but factory-installed 425-hp 426 cu.-in. Hemi V-8, Allen shows up in a not-so-stock 1955 Ford Club Coupe. Allen’s car has been swapped with the 550-hp 5.4-liter supercharged V-8 from the mid-2000s Ford GT.
Leno leaves to go trade the Mopar for his “wife’s stock Toyota Camry.” Other than a set of slicks mounted on the stock wheels, the Camry sports a factory appearance on the outside. But the interior reveals the Camry’s NASCAR roots. Leno has to remove the steering wheel and crawl out between the roll cage bars. The stock appearing cars is powered by supercharged 5.7-liter V-8 cranking out 850 hp to the rear wheels.
Check out the video below to see who wins the drag race and the aftermath when both comedians accuse the other of being a liar.
