The big game may be over, with the Broncos pulling out the win, but three automakers released commercials that we hadn’t seen prior to the airing of the Super Bowl 50. Buick showed off its first-ever Super Bowl spot, while Jeep celebrated its 75-year history with two commercials. Toyota once again showed off the 2016 Prius in a humorous ad, this time touting the car’s mileage.
Buick’s first-ever Super Bowl commercial features the all-new Cascada convertible, along with New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and actress and model Emily Ratajkowski. This new spot comes as part of the automaker’s “Experience the New Buick” campaign, which was launched back in 2014.
Jeep decided to honor its history with two 60-second spots: “Portraits” and “4x4ever.” The first commercial pays homage to the brand’s past and the people who helped shape it, while the second shows the future of the Jeep brand, highlighting the off-road capability and on-road performance of Jeep vehicles.
Toyota’s second Super Bowl commercial also features the new Prius, this time demonstrating how to evade the cops during a high-speed chase. The spot shows the extended mileage of the new model as well as its updated performance. We still don’t think it could escape the cops in real life, though.
