Definitions 1, 2, and 4 certainly describe the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R prototype pictured here—but Webster’s can’t tell us whether or not this Shelby ‘Stang is in fact one of the ultra-limited-run 2015 models, or a 2016 model. As far as we know, there are no differences between them, so let’s just focus on this Shelby’s redness for now.

Specifically, this GT350R appears to be wearing Race Red paint—a leaked order guide for the Shelby Mustangs gives a preliminary look at the available colors—and it joins a near gaggle of Mustang GT350 sightings around the greater Detroit area this spring. With the car near launch and its styling long revealed, Ford no longer is hiding its super-Stangs while frolicking them about for testing reasons. That’s great for them, but it pains us to see GT350s running around near our offices without us behind the wheel with—ahem—red mist in our eyes.
