It’s CES week, and the automotive tech news is rolling in. Not to be left out, our friends at Subaru have announced that it is partnering with Sirius XM Connected Vehicle Services and AT&T to add 4G LTE connectivity to the Starlink in-vehicle connectivity system that Subaru introduced at last year’s CES. The system will first be offered in “select” 2016 Subaru vehicles later this year; models so equipped will now get Sirius XM’s stolen vehicle recovery system, automatic collision notification, remote vehicle locking, and monthly vehicle health reports in addition to Starlink’s current suite of entertainment and safety features.

No word on whether Subaru has bowed to consumer pressure to add one-touch navigation to the nearest Birkenstock outlet or the closest shop selling house-made organic granola in repurposed glass jars. Maybe next year.
