What It Is: A mildly camouflaged 2016 Buick Lacrosse caught testing near our Ann Arbor offices. We managed to squeeze off a few shots of one car, which was running among a pack of six identically cloaked vehicles. Although the psychedelic camouflage now favored by most makers is present on its flanks, heavy shrouding was placed over the front and rear fascias. Thanks to the minimal effort taken to hide the greenhouse and body sides, we can tell the LaCrosse has a gently sloping backlight, a crease along its lower body, and a trademark character line that runs from the rear door to the haunches. It’s hard to make out in the photos, but a Buick grille was clearly visible behind the front mask when viewed from straight ahead.
