When you’re out camping, the last thing you want to worry about is your car getting washed away by some rapids. Unfortunately, a man had to watch his Jeep Wrangler get washed away on River Road in New Braunfels, Texas, after not heeding warnings of an impending flood.
The video was posted to Facebook this week by a bystander who watched the owner of the Jeep park near the bridge of the canyon to check on his campsite as it was supposed to flood any minute. Not long after, water came rushing through, and the Jeep was washed down the canyon.
The Wrangler is almost completely submerged as it passes the bridge and is washed down the river. The owner watched the happenings from the house of the person who shot the video. Apparently, the man was told not to leave his car there, but as the canyon was only starting to run, he may have felt he had enough time to wade through the knee-deep water to check on his tent and campsite before returning and driving away.
