Jaguar's XE has topped the list of the most viewed reviews on Autocar for the week ending 26 April. Read below to find out what joined it in the top five.
1 - Jaguar XE
The compact executive saloon from Jaguar jumps straight to the top of our most popular reviews list, despite only going live midway through last week.
We tested an almost-finished pre-production version of the XE 2.0 diesel R-Sport back in January, where it showed a lot of potential. However, according to our tester, this full production version is even more refined.
The Jaguar XE has a fierce battle on its hands in the compact executive segment. Audi's new A4 saloon arrives later this year, while the current BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C Class have both set a high standard.

A strong showing by the luxury saloon prototype, after going live just over a week ago on autocar.co.uk.
BMW states its Mercedes-Benz S Class rival has been engineered from the ground-up. It weighs 130kg lighter than the previous generation 7 Series and features the German car manufacturer's latest touchscreen i-Drive infotainment system and a new driving mode, called 'Comfort Plus'.
The production model will be unveiled at September's Frankfurt motor show, but you can read our verdict on the BMW 740iL prototype here.
3 - Mercedes-AMG GT S Edition 1
It's not difficult to understand why the new Mercedes-AMG GT S has ranked so highly with readers this week. With those hulking looks and powered by the German car firm's latest 4.0-litre turbocharged V8 motor - pumping out 503bhp and 479lb ft of torque in this state of tune - it's sure to give any Porsche 911 owner food for thought.
Built exclusively by Mercedes-AMG - the performance arm of Mercedes-Benz - the GT S is the replacement for the gullwing-doored SLS.

Audi's rapid RS3 in 'Sportback' guise has proved a huge hit with Autocar's online contingent since we tested it more than a week ago.
With a tweaked 2.5-litre five-pot turbocharged motor now developing 362bhp and enabling the new RS3 Sportback to hit 0-62mph in 4.3sec, it's a worthy alternative to Volkswagen's new Golf R Estate.

The Volkswagen Golf R in hatchback form has been a firm favourite with readers, having ranked highly on our top five most popular reviews list on more than one occasion. It's so highly regarded in the Autocar office, that we're running one as a long-termer, too.
Now the Estate version is continuing the popular trend and features on our list for the first time. Click here to read our review of the fast family wagon.
