Logano wins at Richmond
RICHMOND, VA (TheSpread) – Joey Logano escaped a crazy finish with a win in the Toyota Owners 400 on Saturday night.
The race came down to a late restart with Matt Kenseth holding the lead, but he was quickly surrounded by contenders. After some competitive racing and sliding cars, Logano emerged up front and ended up coming out with the win.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv , Logano had 12/1 odds to win this race, which means a wager of $100 on Logano to win will pay out an additional $1,200.
Logano joins Kevin Harvick as the lone drivers to have two wins on the season and essentially lock up a spot in the Chase for the Championship. Jeff Gordon ended up second in the race while Kyle Busch was third. Kenseth ended up fifth.
Logano moves up to sixth in the point standings with the win, 49 points out of first place. Gordon stays in the points lead by 5 over Kenseth while Busch jumps up to fourth after his third-place finish.
