As of this morning, the all-new 2015 Chrysler 200 has been on sale for five days. That’s 120 hours, or 7200 minutes, if you prefer. For the hyper-specific out there, we’ll slap away at our calculator for two more seconds to determine that the 200′s been officially available to consumers for 432,000 seconds. Well, guess what? A refreshed model is coming . . . in (the industry-standard) three years.
Yes, while it may seem strange that the 200′s barely poked its smooth nose into the great big world and Chrysler is already talking updates, in reality, companies have their futures pretty well sorted out. (At least in three-to-five-year chunks.) It is perhaps slightly strange that Chrysler’s telling us about the 200′s mid-cycle refresh so early, but the detail-free 200 news did come out of Fiat-Chrysler’s Investor Day info dump, during which it detailed to the financial world (and journos like us) its plans for the future.

As for the 200 itself, we cannot begin to speculate what Chrysler might do change for what’s assumed to be the 2018 model year (2017 calendar year). We can, however, guess that the brand’s “Imported from Detroit” advertising tagline will continue. Except rapper Eminem’s getting kind of old, so maybe Chrysler will ultimately switch it up in order to help the 200 resonate with those hip coastal buyers domestic automakers just can’t seem to crack.
