Photos of the BMW Z4 concept have leaked ahead of its debut at Monterey Car Week. The photos were first posted by Netherlands site Autoblog.nl. Judging by these photos, BMW’s next roadster will be an absolute stunner.
Very little info accompanied the photo leak, but there’s plenty to see in the photos. Starting with the front end, BMW’s signature dual-kidney grilles are positioned low in the fascia and are angled in slightly. The headlights sweep back across the wheel arches, and the hood appears to have long, thin vents sculpted into it. Large intake openings dominate the lower half of the front end.
In back, the concept features wide, slender taillights that appear nearly flush with the rear bumper. There’s also a carbon-fiber rear valance that’s molded around rectangular tailpipes. Moving to the open-air cabin, we see roll bars that resemble head fairings you might see on a classic roadster. The interior itself is pretty typical of modern BMWs, but there’s an interesting two-tone black and tan motif that makes this show car pop.
We don’t have all the details on the BMW Z4, but we do know that BMW and Toyota developed the platform together. That means underneath the Z4’s sexy skin lies the bones of the next-gen Toyota Supra. Expect a production Z4 to arrive sometime next year, hopefully looking a lot like this.
