The Nissan Juke-R Nismo will be unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The model is said to use the latest technology from Nissan’s performance Nismo products, and the company claims the fast Juke crossover is ‘supercar beating.'
There are few details on the Juke-R Nismo available beyond the teaser image, which shows that the car gets several significant styling upgrades over the standard Juke. A low-slung front spoiler, large air intakes, bonnet scoops and extended wheel arches all feature.
The previous Nissan Juke R was created as a not-for-sale performance model, which modified a Nissan GT-R and featured a 485bhp 3.8-litre V6 engine that took it from 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds.
The Nismo element of this car’s name suggests it will build on that, and could offer power closer to, or even in excess of, the GT-R Nismo’s 592bhp. In the GT-R, that engine is capable of a top speed of 196mph and a 0-62mph time of less than 2.7sec.
More information is expected at the start of the Goodwood festival on Thursday 25 June.
