-Back in the early 1990s, GMC went insane and built two trucks: The Typhoon and the Syclone. But instead of being useful haulers that could take all of your belongings to the junkyard or the dump, the Syclone was just plain faster than anything on the road.
Nearly all of the Syclones were black, which is how you knew they were menacing and more evil than your run-of-the-mill Sonoma. They also had a turbocharged 4.3-liter V-6 under the hood with 280 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque going to all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission.
-That meant they could get to 60 in just 4.3 seconds. That was fast in 1991 and it’s actually still brutally quick now.
- -But this one is red. And has a targa top. And it’s for sale on eBay for $80,000. Is it worth it?

According to Bring A Trailer, this is a Marlboro edition Syclone. Just 10 of them were built, this one happens to be serial number six. Basically, it’s a normal Syclone, no changes to the engine, that has had its top chopped off by ASC and has Marlboro badges on it. If you’ve longed for a truck designed by the legendary Larry Shinoda that also appeals to the smoker in you, there is no better truck to buy.

-Just buy it. Please. Then let us come take a ride in it.
