-These two eBay-listed Ferrari Testarossas are quite similar, except for that fact that one is red and other is the color of the vinyl seats in your grandma’s 1977 Ford LTD.
According to the seller of both cars—one foxyroxygirl1—the example wearing the more adventurous hue is a 1988.5 model, only has 4200 miles, and arrived to them essentially coated in Cosmoline. The red car, a 1991, seems to be in similarly excellent shape, albeit at a less fanatical level of preservation; it has about 5600 miles on the clock. There is one more highly notable difference between these two cars: As of this writing, with four days of bidding remaining on each one, the red example has fetched $109K, or nearly $40,000 more than its funky-colored sibling. (The paint color was a factory offering called Oro Chiaro. It is, as you can probably imagine, really rare.)

If someone were to simply give us the keys to both cars, we’d probably head toward to the red one every time—it’s hard to beat Rosso Corsa, even if it’s a bit of a Ferrari cliché—but if it actually were our money at work? That could be a different story, as the price gap may widen even further over the next four days. That could mean a smart buy for someone willing to step outside of the standard Ferrari color wheel.
