No launch date has yet been set for the VengeanceFirst design sketch of Afzal Kahn's new Vengeance coupé revealed; likely to be a restyled Aston Martin
British design house Kahn has released the first design sketches of its new sports car, dubbed Vengeance.
The Vengeance, which is described as “a new British retro classic”, will feature wide-body styling and will be made from hammer-formed aluminium. It will be manufactured in Coventry.
Although preliminary details are scarce, it’s clear that the two-door coupé will adopt retro styling, with the long-bonnet, cab-rearward design favoured by other ‘modern classic’ designs - in particular the David Brown Speedback GT, launched last year.
It’s likely that the Vengeance will use an existing chassis and powertrain, which could come from Aston Martin.
At the launch of the Ant-Kahn Barchetta - a retro-styled two-seat sports car produced with niche vehicle manufacturer Evanta - at the Goodwood Revival last year, company founder Afzal Kahn hinted that a restyled Aston would be added to his growing portfolio of bespoke vehicles in 2015.
The design of the new model would be greatly influenced by the Vanquish, said Kahn.
The Vengeance will join Kahn’s other bespoke designs, which include the Flying Huntsman, an extreme interpretation of the Land Rover Defender that made its debut at the Geneva motor show in March. An even more extreme 6x6 version was also shown.
