2015 Toyota Auris gets a new look at the front
First pictures of the facelifted Toyota Auris are released, ahead of the car's debut at the 2015 Geneva motor show
The refreshed Toyota Auris is about to get a new look and updated engines as part of its mid-life facelift.
The facelift has been previewed in a set of official pictures ahead of the car's public debut at the upcoming Geneva motor show in March.
The Auris is the latest Toyota to undergo a thorough refresh, following on from the Avensis, which is also being displayed at the Geneva show. The Auris gets a slightly less comprehensive restyle than the larger Avensis, but still gets a significant update to the front end. The most notable features are a new grille, redesigned headlights and a reshaped lower bumper.
Toyota has revealed images of only the front of the car, but the rear end is likely to have new lights and a tweaked design. The cabin will also get a new look.
Beyond these images, Toyota has revealed little in the way of concrete information about the refreshed Auris, although it's said there will be new comfort and safety features, as well as "new and improved petrol and diesel engines". This may well include the 1.6-litre BMW diesel unit that features in the Toyota Verso and is expected to go into the new Avensis.
The hybrid powertrain will continue to be offered, with Toyota saying it accounted for around half of all European Auris sales in 2014.
The facelift applies to both the hatchback and the estate versions of the Auris, and the car will be revealed at the 2015 Geneva motor show in March.
