Touring Superleggera has kept its latest Berlinetta Lusso creation under wraps in the lead-up to Geneva
Milan-based custom car maker to reveal classic Ferrari-inspired production model
Italian coachbuilder Touring Superleggera has released a brief teaser video showing its Berlinetta Lusso, which set to be unveiled at next week’s Geneva motor show.
The video strongly hints at a deep Ferrari connection, with the Carlo Anderloni-penned Ferrari 166 MM Touring starring alongside snippets of Touring Superleggera’s latest creation. Included with the aforementioned classic sports car in the video is a quote by late Fiat owner Gianni Agnelli: "A well-done thing can be made better."
From the clip, the Berlinetta Lusso appears to feature styling inspired by the 166 MM Touring. Design sketches suggest a coupé body, while a brief shot of the Berlinetta Lusso’s passenger side shows the body being handcrafted from lightweight aluminium.
Touring Superleggera has revealed low-volume production cars in the past at Geneva. Two years ago, the iconic Milan-based firm pulled the wraps off its Alfa Romeo 8C-based Disco Volante, and three years prior to that it revealed its Bentley Flying Star shooting brake.
Further details will be released on the Berlinetta Lusso at the Geneva show.
