We learned two things watching Tag Heuer’s awesome video of current McLaren F1 drivers Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso wheel a modern F1 car and the MP4/4 racer driven by legendary pilot Ayrton Senna. The first is that substituting the word “timepiece” for “watch” in a bid to create a clever headline doesn’t work—as in, Timepiece Old and New F1 Cars Meeting!—and the second is that Tag Heuer knows how to quicken our pulse.

The video is of course a plug for Tag’s fine watches timepieces, but you don’t need us to explain that on-track dicing between an original MP4/4 and McLaren’s current MP4-30, overlaid with inspirational musings from Ayrton Senna himself, is overwhelmingly cool. It also appears as though we’ve figured out what Jenson was up to when he tweeted a photo of himself sitting in the MP4/6 a few months ago. Now watch the video:
