The Toyota GT86 has been revised for 2015, with the sports car getting a £300 price cut and a selection of styling tweaks.
The facelift is relatively minor in terms of visual alterations, with new wheels the biggest changes to the range. The entry-level Primo model now comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, down from the 17-inch versions that it previously came with. The range-topping Aero model no longer comes with an auto box, but now gets gloss black alloy wheels.
In part, these smaller wheels result in a £300 reduction for the Primo trim, which now costs £22,700. However, an ongoing customer offer knocks a further £505 off the price, making it cost £22,195.
The rest of the car’s pricing is unchanged. The mid-range model is exactly the same, but is now the only version to be offered with the automatic gearbox.
The engines are largely unchanged. They now comply with Euro 6 emissions requirements, but the CO2 and economy figures are the same as before. The manual version averages 36.2mpg and emits from 181g/km.
A special edition of the Toyota GT86 is set to be released later this summer, with more information not expected until after the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
