Audi is having itself a busy little year, having so far debuted the redesigned 2016 R8 and TT sports cars; refreshed (and priced) the A6, A7, S6, S7, and RS7; and introduced a new Q7 SUV. Having already covered those cars in depth, we’re focusing this latest Audi model lineup update on the 2016 A3/S3, A5/S5, Q5/SQ5, A4 sedan, and Allroad wagon, which have just been given new prices and minor equipment changes.
- -A lot of the updates overlap, with the base versions of the A4, Allroad, and Q5 all gaining a new standard multifunction steering wheel, available Audi Connect, and, on the A4 and Allroad, Audi’s Advanced Key (when the Navigation Plus package is selected). Those models’ mid-level Premium Plus trim level also now comes with a Bang & Olufsen sound system when the Tech package is selected. The Q5 now includes a panoramic sunroof, while the SQ5 is now available with a Black Optics package (20-inch wheels, dark exterior trim) and Jet Gray diamond-stitched seats. An adaptive suspension is now a standalone option on the SQ5 Premium Plus model. Prices for the A4, Allroad, Q5, and SQ5 go up by $400, $300, $1600, and $600.
- -The entry-level A3 sedan gains a standard backup camera and parking sensors, heated door mirrors and windshield-washer nozzles, and “Alu-optic” interior trim. Audi has made Active Lane Assist, Audi Pre-Sense automatic braking, and adaptive cruise control optional on the top-flight A3 Prestige, and all A3s can be had with an S-line style package, a 4G LTE data connection, and Bang & Olufsen sound systems.
-The sporty S3 can be ordered with a Black Optics package that includes black-painted exterior trim, Titanium matte-finished wheels, and Audi’s magnetic-ride adaptive suspension. The A3 and S3’s base prices increase by $1030 and $1430; that means the A3 starts at $31,825, while the S3 starts at $43,425.

The handsome A5 coupe and cabriolet come standard with Audi’s S-line exterior style kit and a Bang & Olufsen sound system, and similar to the A4 and Allroad, Audi Connect has been bundled into the Navigation Plus package. There’s a new Misano red paint option (it’s also available on the A4), as well as a new red-colored top option for the A5 cabriolet. The S5, like seemingly every other S model, gains a Black Optics package that includes new wheels and black-painted door mirrors. Audi is charging $500 more than last year for an A5 coupe ($41,425, with the cabrio commanding an additional $7400), while the base ask for the S5 rises by $600 to $54,025. Look for all of these 2016 Audi models to appear in dealerships soon—the company’s consumer website already displays the A6 and A7 lines as 2016 models, so these can’t be far behind.
