With the Super Bowl only a few days away, many of the big game’s commercials are being released early including these new spots from Honda and Toyota.
2017 Honda CR-V
In honor of #ThrowbackThursday the 2017 Honda CR-V crossover ad includes several celebrity cameos speaking from their high school yearbook photos. The 2017 Honda CR-V commercial continues the automaker’s current “Power of Dreams” campaign with some inspirational words from several celebrities including Tina Fey, Robert Redford, Amy Adams, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Steve Carell, Missy Elliot, Stan Lee, Jimmy Kimmel, and Viola Davis.
The commercial finishes with the narrator stating: “Here’s to chasing dreams and the amazing places they lead. The all-new CR-V from Honda.”
With the Toyota Mirai only on sale in California, the Super Bowl ad will only appear as a local spot in the Los Angeles and San Francisco markets. The commercial features a lone daisy flower growing from a crack in the road. As regular cars drive passed, they poison the flower with sooty carbon emissions. Finally, relief comes when a Mirai stops above the flower and drops its emission on it – pure clean water.
The voice over says: “The hydrogen-fueled Mirai; its only emission is water. Toyota, Let’s Go Places.”
